About Mr. Kley Todd
Kley Todd is the current Director of Bands and Choirs at Elkton Middle School. As a native of Rockingham County, Mr. Todd grew up in Bridgewater and attended Turner Ashby High School where he served as the drum major of the Marching Knights, and was an active member of the TA Singers. He later moved to New York City, earning his Bachelor of Arts in Music at Columbia University, and his Master of Arts in Music Education at Columbia's Teachers College. In his time at Columbia, Mr. Todd focused heavily on studies of social justice through music education, and ethnomusicology. He seeks to bring these areas into the classroom by providing students with a diverse array of musical activities and experiences. He also serves as EMS's Technology Chair.
Outside of the classroom, Mr. Todd loves to travel (mostly in search of great food). A geek at heart, he's an ardent lover of all things Star Trek, and can often be found in his backyard behind the lens of his telescope.
